We have identified a safety hazard with the remote control contained in this set – highlighted in red in the picture.
The clear plastic ball can break apart allowing the beads inside to escape, and these can constitute a choking or inhalation hazard.
This only affects products purchased between 4th April and 7th October 2008.
STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return it to your nearest Argos store for a refund.

We have identified a safety hazard with some of the jigsaw sets shown in the picture.
The small knob on the face of the pieces can break away; the broken piece constitutes a small part and therefore is deemed to be a choking hazard to children less than 3 years of age.
This only affects products purchased between 19th January 2004 and 22nd October 2008.

We have become aware that this product contains Calcium Hydroxide, (instead of Plaster of Paris which should have been supplied) Calcium Hydroxide is potentially harmful, in that it is an irritant and cause burns to the skin and eyes.
If you have one of these kits please dispose of any of the remaining material in the bag marked "Plaster of Paris", or any casts made from these kits in the main household refuse.
Please take care to avoid skin contact; any accidental contact should be washed thoroughly with soap and water.

We have identified an issue with the above stair gates where the plastic hinge mounting can break in use. As a result the gate can fall from the frame. Injury may occur if this happens in use, as well as the further potential for injury once the gate has become detached and ceases to be an adequate barrier to potentially hazardous situations.
The issue only affects products purchased after 14th December 2007 with WHITE plastic hinges (shown on the right) marked with the model number on the bottom of the gate (right) LD145 or LD146
